We have released the Hole In One Project - Bdcmetaman Web Edition, I am really excited and can't wait to hear all the feedback!
You can download the beta and check out the screen cast here: http://www.lightningtools.com/blog/archive/2009/01/12/bdc-meta-man-web-edition.aspx
I am reading a new book “Getting Things Done” by David Allen. It's really good and full of lots of fantastic ideas. I am looking forward to my organisation revolution, it has been on my to do list for quite a while! I have been using Remember The Milk for a few months and have recently got the iPhone application along with Zenbe lists. I think they are great web 2.0 applications and are the sort of GTD tools I need to keep things out of my head. The good thing is Nick's also rereading the book so I have someone to keep me in check, and whether he likes it or not I'll keep an eye on him to!
2008 was quite a year for me, I joined the fantastic team at Lightning Tools back in March which has to be one of the best things I have ever done. I have learnt so much including a heck of a lot of the BDC as you would imagine, SharePoint , JavaScript and jQuery. I achieved my MCTS : WSS Application Development 3.0 which I am very proud of and have my MOSS exam booked for 10th of February. I'll let you know how it goes.
I am heading over to San Diego at the beginning of February to speak at the SharePoint Best Practices Conference with Brett Lonsdale. We are talking about SharePoint Workflow and the BDC, so if you're there come and see us. If you are not I'm sure it will be online.
New Year's Resolutions: (this list needs to be broken down into proper next actions - it's on my to do list!)
- Blog once a week
- Take four Microsoft exams this year
- Speak at three events
- Get out to more user group meetings
