What it does.

BDC Alert manager allows you to set up email notifications on your BDC Data using custom rules!!!!

e.g.

if you have configured a Business Data Catalog (BDC) Application Definition File (ADF) for your Products Database and your database looks like:

You can configure an alert to be sent to your supplier if NumInStock is less than or equal to 5 and then parse the information from your database into the email body

"Dear Supplier

We only have [NumInStock] left of the [ProductName] , please can you order us 10 more

Thanks"

and as you can guess the supplier will get an email saying

"Dear Supplier

We only have 5 left of the Bike - Blue, please can you order us 10 more

Thanks"
